Justin Bieber Reclaims Top Spot On Billboard Chart. Sorry, Usher.
Bieber’s sales did slide sharply (-65%) this week, according to the trade publication, but we have a feeling he’ll be dominating the landscape for a while yet.
Usher’s Raymond v. Raymond slipped to #2 with a 72% drop in sales, to 92,000 copies, Billboard reports. Usher’s single “OMG” (watch the video here) debuted strongly at #14 on the Hot 100, while his “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” (watch here) sits at #25, which means Bieber’s pal has two big chances to keep fans interested — and to keep cash registers ringing.
Meanwhile, the biggest debut of the week on the album chart came from guitar god Slash, whose self-titled album features obsessed-Guns N’ Roses-fan Fergie (yes, this Fergie) and obsessed-Nicole Scherzinger-fan Nicole Scherzinger. (Yes, it’s too bad Velvet Revolver petered out).
